I am from the Chicago area and lived in Illinois through my college graduation in 1981. A job transfer brought our family to Apex in 1996.
My wife, Julie, and I have been married almost 30 years. She serves in Care ministries, and is also a volunteer for the USO. We have three grown children Joel, Joslin, and Jake. Our oldest son Joel spent six years serving in the US Navy and is now attending NC State. Our daughter, Joslin, is a 2009 NC State textile graduate and is working for a textile manufacturer in Baltimore, Md. Jake is our youngest and is in his second year at Wake Tech. He plans to transfer to a four year university next fall. I work for Ryder as a logistics project leader.
I accepted Christ as my personal Savior in 1987. I was raised in the Catholic faith, but stopped attending church after high school. My wife was a believer since middle school and encouraged me to begin attending a protestant church while living in Ohio. It was there, through a wonderful adult Sunday school teacher that I learned of His true gift of Grace and Salvation. I could no longer continue living for myself; and so I put my trust in Christ.
We have been attending Colonial since 1999. I have served a majority of that time in Children’s Ministry and predominately in AWANA. I am currently the Director for 3rd to 5th grade boys.
My favorite scripture is Titus 3:5 “not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,”
